The National Weather Service has extended the Excessive Heat Warning for seven counties.

-Coconino County in areas below 4,000 feet, Mohave, and Pima Counties will be affected through July 12.
-La Paz, Maricopa, Pinal, and Yuma Counties will be affected through July 13.

Daytime highs up to 116 degrees Fahrenheit are expected. Public cooling centers are available in some areas. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a health advisory for increased risk of dengue virus infections in the United States for 2024. Global cases of dengue in 2024 have been the highest on record for this calendar year and U.S. travelers have had a higher-than-expected number of dengue cases.
